Silver white winters that melt into springs

Universe gave me the mission to help a couple of souls to help themselves. Problem was that I didn’t have much magic dust left. So I called on L. Byron. I thought we could use some of his poetry, if he wasn’t much busy for the day. Funny thing is he seemed pretty happy in the end, savoring sauté clams and octopus by the sea side. The sun came finally out just before setting for good behind the rocks and the sky shone purple iced on top of the belfry tower. When we left, the world was merry and in place. I didn’t know how to thank him, so I write this. (Pretty corny, yeah!)

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite things

Cream colored ponies and crisp apple strudels
Doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings
These are a few of my favorite things

Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes
Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes
Silver white winters that melt into springs
These are a few of my favorite things

When the dog bites
When the bee stings
When I'm feeling sad
I simply remember my favorite things
And then I don't feel so bad

My favorite things (The Sound of Music)
